Quotation marks (“)
1. Use double quotation marks to relate a direct quotation.
Example: He always rightly told me: “Work hard. Play hard.”
NOTE:
Comma and period of the quotation stay inside.
2. Use single quotation marks to relate another quotation within
quotations.
Example: He always rightly told me: “If they ask me ‘What you will
do if you are offered one million dollars?’ I will say no clue.”
3. Use double quotation to introduce a technical term or any
phrase which is about to be used in an unusual way.
Example: This was the best “template” we could ever design
